Just as Ryder as an individual is overpowered as hell, the Initiative and Angaran forces lack military vessels like destroyers and cruiser, when it comes to a conflict with the remaining Kett Empire. Even if Ryder would fly on Remnant Architects like Mua'Dib on Sandworms , they still would struggle simply because being heavily outnumbered.
A continuation in Andromeda, no matter the plotwholes and blandless of the story, is the most likely outcome, as it simply is the easiest to do. For the MW they would need to make 1 ending canon, which they refuse to.
Synthesis: you fight former synthetics, including Reapers again.
Control: you fight Reapers and Shepard aka Shepalyst
Destroy: post apocalyptic setting with probably civil war between the survivors as it took years for them to reconnect with each other.
Superior technology, commando operations and hit-and-run-tactics would be the way to fight overwhelming forces.
Basic the same we did in every ME game with our stealth frigate and our small team. Strike hard where it hurts and run.
In addition we got hints that there are more angara colonies, so more manpower.
When acting on the assumption that an attacking force needs three times the forces of the defending force to be succesfull, we could realistic hold our ground and defend the most important facilities.
IMO.
I would love to play this game.
With a bit of a time jump, say 2-3 years, we could see cities and shipyards starting to pop up around Andromeda. That, I imagine, would coincide with the amount of time the Kett would need to cross space quickly without mass relays.
I was hoping Anthem would have a better showing for all the time and effort that they put into it but maybe these things have to happen to show these companies that it’s not a great idea to start changing your game concept. Bioware and Bethesda are both known for single player rpg and were very successful in that genre, yet they both decided to jump into multiplayer, looter/shooter games that there fanbase didn’t want. Maybe now with these failed experiments, they can get back to what they do best.
Personally, I’m sick of multiplayer games.
@Marolf
It's been a long time for me as well and I think I can't provide a definit proof.
It did not mean angara colonies outside of Heleus but colonies which got lost through the Scourge.
Maybe it was during a conversation with Addison or the Moshae towards the end where someone said that the angara did not trust us 100% till now, implying that they kept stuff secret to keep it safe.
In addition there was something about a star map, not all angara were happy about us getting.
That's all out of my memory. But the wiki also talks about more worlds:
"The angara of five worlds, including Havarl and Voeld, eventually rediscovered spaceflight [...]. The angara began to expand again, colonizing Kadara and Aya [...]".
If the andromeda crew were to somehow travel back to the Milky Way, where would that put them on the ME timeline?
Around 1300 years after Shepard. So around 3390, or few years earlier, as the NW and Andromeda will merge in a few billion years, so the route back is a bit shorter.
@Shas'Ora
Was that map part of the ancient AI from Voeld.
It would be nice to see what the Jardaan and their created seeds have done outside of Heleus. Maybe the Scourge Weapon needs a nearby singularity to work properly, or it did spread out even worse in other parts of Andromeda.
As I've said, I am intruiged.
About Anthem.... It is only accessable as Early Access, which means it is more or less in a gamma test phase. Bugs and problems around the playability will be adressed with a Day 1 patch, especially as EA wants to sell 6 million copies within the first days.
Beyond that... well it is a looter shooter. How do you want to reinvent the wheel in here? Similar games have/had issues aswell, but the hypercritics tsunami rolls in again.
No, the AI from Voeld was completely useless.
