Since I loved ME2,should I get Star Wars Kotor on my phone? I heard it is like ME,only with a different battle system and a more complex story. The game recieved a lot of praise when it came out,so does it still hold up today?
And just to clarify,I'm not a fan of Star Wars.
Kotor is definitely worth playing. And you'll instantly recognize Kaiden's voice.
The battle system is turned-based, though the game hides this well be keeping the action going continuously. I'm not sure I'd say the story is more complex, but it's excellent.
Maybe I'm out of touch, but playing it on a phone sounds a little odd to me. But the experience is worth it.
Well.... that game is.... 14 years old... so expect no graphic wonders here. And if you're not a fan... well it takes place roughly 3300 years or so before the movies and 300 years before SWTOR, which is based from KotOR. So KotOR writes it's own story.
It's an action RPG and was phenomenal all those years back then. I still remember that feeling, when I assembled my first own lightsaber.....that sound.... anyway... you do not have to play with lightsabers... you can stick to guns aswell. Plus FemShep's, Kaidan's and Zaeed's voice actors are in it aswell.
The fights were planned more strategical and during 'timefreeze' via that Pause Menu giving yourself and your squadmates a sequence of orders which they follow..... The Power Menu in ME derives from it so you will have similarities to get easier into it. It got a very good story but is rather short..... between 23-40 hours.
And you can switch to your squadmates and control them directly. something I sometimes missed in ME.
I've played it at least a dozen times when it came out. But things, and especially optics change dramatically during the years. I mean, would watch a movie like 'The ten commandments' with Charlton Heston, back from the 1950's because someone said it was awesome when it came out, or would not watch it out of your own curiosity?
Right now Morpheus has two pills for you. a red one (curiosity) and a blue one (ah no, I don't to get blind). The choice is yours.
So if you do not have a problem with non state of the art graphics, I'd suggest you try it out.
I don't mind the graphics being dated. And thanks for the reccomendation,I'll check it out.
Although the graphics are of course dated, as happens to any game, the art direction and design is still beautiful. It's not easy to make Tatooine look interesting, but they managed to.
Excellent game. The controls on phone or tablet take some getting used to, it took me quite a few tries to complete the swoop races, but you only have to do it once or twice at the beginning. If possible use Amazon Underground as it is a free app there. I still break out my Xbox to play KOTOR 1 & 2 every now and again. GameFAQs has some good FAQs if you run into any questions or frustrations. Hope you enjoy KOTOR.
I'd actually say the graphics, especially on mobile, held up pretty well. There were a lot of memorable story arks as well, like Manaan. It's a great game.
Legendary RPG game I would avoid the mobile version and just break out the Xbox though. I heard it got bad reviews (I can imagine how) but great game although not a huge fan of the way the combat works. But nerds! Imagine this, a remastered KOTOR with updated graphics, new DLCs, and a free moving combat system like Mass Effect.
Kinda like SWBF... but RPG 😳😳😳
Do it. Fantastic game
