So im curious does anybody know how this toes on with the other games or are is this just a seperate story because when ive watched the trailers it seems to hint off that they connect but im not sure
The trailers are great but I can't get much out of it without playing the game😉😉
There is not much direct influence or connection to the original trilogy, and there will be little to no connection with the third game at all. Its story stems from ME2, so ME3's events are unknown to those on the Nexus and Arks, so its events do not affect them at all. The definitive information, such as war with the Geth and the extinction of the Collectors, that is static within all possible playthroughs would have the best shot of connecting with this game. Personal, variable decisions, such as sparing/killing Wrex, saving Kaiden/Ashley, rescuing/abandoning the Council, and saving/destroying the Collector Base, will likely not be mentioned at all in the game, since those can vary from individuals' favorite stories and will clash with what players have created as "their canon" ME Universe. Technology and stuff like that will be connected, naturally, since it's still Mass Effect. Just don't expect much from Shepard's story to impact this one.
Ah ok i just wasnt sure but thats copl im glad bioware is stepping out of the shepherd story and doing something new and so far it seems something better
As we won't be able to transfer our save files, the individual canon doesn't matter. But that doesn't exclude the intended basic canon from the devs, which there clearly is if you play a non import ME2 or ME3 game. In that case the Council was sacrificed, Udina was elected and Wrex was killed. Kaidan was killed as basic default Shepard is a male soldier.
But only the councils fate might have a chance to be mentioned in the codex at all. The other decission simply are classified or of no real use for the public.
It is the same universe, but that's where it ends.
What do you think?
