I've been reading (trying to avoid spoilers)
And apparently the facial animations are terrible
Anyone with the origin/EA access got any opinions on it? No plot spoilers please

I haven't noticed anything really bad tbh.
Hmm, I mean I knew they wouldn't be awful
I've just heard that they're kind of laughable
They are pretty fucked up. It's starting to make me uneasy about my purchase.
Really the facial animations would make you regret the purchase of a mass effect game? The trilogy had way worse facial animations or lack there of.
I remember how funky the faces were in the first one. And I don't regret my purchase but it just made me a little wary. I don't like pre orders but I love bioware games.
I dunno I'll still enjoy it, but if they're that bad they can break immersion..
They're pretty much unchanged from the original games, they just look worse because the rest of the game looks better.
there are a few characters that look like they just went through a botox operation, it's hardly noticeable because it's only a few seconds at most
BioWare has been aware of some issues with the facial animations for a while, and they've been working to make them smoother, the eventual updates beyond the confirmed Day One patch likely having something to do about them besides fixes in that first patch. Honestly, how I look at this, this isn't Quantic Dreams, so the facial animations aren't going to be the absolute best. The same people yelling about the animations tend to also yell about the character models, which aren't bad at all, so I think disinterested parties are leading the hate, and others have really high expectations. I'm expecting an awesome experience, which is definitely loose in interpretation and likely to be met.
