Every once in a while, the Internet storms with anger towards groups and individuals about things it doesn't like. The recent hate storming around BioWare and Mass Effect: Andromeda, especially from just what I've personally seen on Twitter, is astounding, and not it a good way.
Much of this hate has been focused, or refocused, or a now-former employee who worked on the series' design. I say "refocus" because the main target or this hate is infamous for gross racism towards White people. While not naming the individual, as I am also not, BioWare has issued a statement: twitter.com/bioware/status/843190432033005568/photo/1.
Here, BioWare calls for an end to misdirected attacks towards the individual. And, although I personally hate this individual wholly, spreading hate with attacks is not okay.
Surely, one individual is not entirely responsible for any flaws, or accomplishments, in a creation touched by so many hands. And, surely, those other hands would not sit idly to sabotage or the like.
There are other points attached to this discussion, but that is the main point I'd like to share. Don't blame (and attack) a single individual when many more influenced it. Criticism is important, but that is not criticism.
