Could the humans have really won or just hold off against the Turians until they gave up and left the war.
But did the Turians know where the humans homeplanet was as the mass relay in their system was dormant
In what system was the mass relay dormant..?
Charon relay was frozen in ice for thousands of years and was believed to be one of Pluto's moons but was reactivated 2149
Yeah, and the First Contact War took place in 2157... so 8 years after that.
Of course the turians knew where Earth was located, in ME3's Citadel DLC you can find a recording of turians interrogating a human prisoner during the war, where one of the turians says that they're going to conquer Earth and "teach" humans how the galaxy works.
Oh im surprised there wasn't like a spec ops mission to kill key turian members and start a full-scale war as the humans aren't ones to stand by and let tge Turians get away so easy. We make stupid decisions but than we'll probably lose the war.
Nah, the Humans couldn’t have won. If I remember correctly by the time the Alliance took back Shanxi they had 200 capital warships. Now take that against the thousands of Turian vessels in the galaxy and you would be KO.
Yeh but humans were the first to use carriers and fighters so they took the Turians by surprise there
Humans could use the Temistocles strategy, using de Relay of Milkway to flanking an invasion. use the 6 day war strategy or biologic war (Turians don't have a great genetics variations)
The fact is, nobody expects that someone could fight back Turians. And that gives respect of the Galaxy (and it caused envy).
Carriers were a unique variant of what is considered a dreadnought in this universe that humans had over other races, but that doesn’t mean other races didn’t have small fighters, or that they could successfully repel thousands of capital ships operated by the other races at the time with those fighters.
I think the humans could have won. And this is why. Mass effect 2 arrival proves mass relays aren't impervious. Shepard sent a asteroid into the relay. The explosion caused wide scale destruction.
If the humans used their relay to send a dreadnaught or two into Turian space. Then self destruct the ships as the exit ths relay. We might be sacrifing a few soldiers. However the havoc reeked on the Turians. As the relay explodes would be immense.
Downside is the galactic community would hate humans. And we'd never meet Garrus.
What do you think?
