What's the most "human" cmdr Shepard moment for you?
For me in me3 in his dream when fire is around the boy and you look at Shepard, I'm sad everytime.

When Shepard hugs Tali after seeing her fathers corpse.
When Shepard expresses their doubts to Garrus in ME3. Shepard is so confident and sure of themselves most of the time, but seeing that self-doubt come to the surface is a very humanizing scene and is clearly a side of them that very few ever see.
Wondered if Shep was becoming indoctrinated even before I knew that was a thing. You're right it's a vulnerable moment. Prefer not talking about it, say with a prying Laura. Although my Sheps have equal parts renegade and paragon, always enjoy assembling crew each time and always enjoy their company, while most often being celibate & saving life as we know it. Yes, my Sheps have had romances & encounters (Consort anyone? Way better than dating subordinates IMO) in some run throughs but mostly soak in commanding & seeing people grow through the arc of their character, way more than romance. Remember when my Shep started opening up, touchy-feely like, had to laugh & say pull yourself together. OTT. Skip romancing Ashley BTW. She does a lot of mute standing around IMO. Do like how main character has genuine nobility that shines through and holds up with repeated play. Always try something different along the way, but this remains a constant. Good writing maybe. Normandy 2 is always WAY too empty at start of Episode Three for my Shep.
There are a few times when Shepard's 'professional' defenses seem to falter which - depending on how you play - seem to grow as the series continues. It shows in ME1 when the commander checks in with Joker after Virmire or when she admits to needing a shoulder shortly before stealing Normandy. In ME2 when Shepard is on the Archangel op and makes it into his lair, there's a moment her face lights up when she recognizes the new recruit is actually her old friend, Garrus. In ME3, during the Utukku/rachni mission with Grunt when the commander realizes she has to leave him covering their retreat. When the wounded Grunt shuffles out of the cave, I can always picture my relieved Shepard catching his arm and muttering teasingly, "Lay off the varren snacks, Grunt. You already weigh a ton."
I think the most human moment for me was when Shepard woke up on the Citadel just after getting blasted by Harbinger. You actually see Shepard in real pain. Limping through the bowels of the Citadel and seeing the burns and cuts just felt real in that moment. We don’t see the unstoppable Commander Shepard but someone who is hurt and pushing through the pain in a human way.
For me male Shepard’s most human moments was when him and kaidan was on Mars and kaidan got injured by dr Eva and Shepard’s reaction to getting critically hurt was so sad, Shepard yelled “noooo”, at the sight and after that happened Shepard took kaidan to the med bay and aww man Shepard didn’t want to leave kaidans side even liara had to snap Shepard out of his worring zone, I just love this, it just show the love he has for kaidan
In ME3. I think it is after their 1st nightmare.
It’s the scene where Shepard is in the bathroom and Liara ask them if they’re ok. And Shepard talks about one of their squadmates’ death. The squadmate is different, depending on your previous choices BUT Shepard’s sadness is always there, always real.
It’s one of the rare moments where they appear a little defeated. Breaks my heart every time. ?
The other moment is much happier: the Citadel DLC.
You can see Shepard and their squadmates share moments of camaraderie, fun times and party like any other group of friends or like a family. And the final scene of the DLC is so bittersweet. I love it. ?
Maybe not the most but the other choices have been said. Right in the beginning of ME3 when Shepard gets on the Normandy. Leaving Anderson behind and watching people trying to run away only to be killed. Thr paragon check you get when talking to Vega. Shepard had never really run away before. And clearly wasn't happy about it taking no shit from Vega.
The little boy I Shep's departure me3 is sad when he dies, Shep is haunted by him
What do you think?
