The krogans still hold a grudge against Salarians and Turians for the genophage And The System Alliance and the Turian Hierachy are still on bad terms. So it isn’t impossible. In a civil war scenario the Humans and Krogans might team up since both have a bone to pick with the Turians.
^Krogan are not a Citadel Race. Also only Wrev with cured Genophage but no Eve would be inclined to start a war. And for Humans, they don’t really have a grudge, at least not one that is “we so want to declare war.” After all they now where on the council, and with the Citadel in orbit over earth the Systems Alliance have even more reason not to bother going to war.
I believe there is a phrase about better to live rich then getting revenge.
The last trilogy was about a galaxy-wide invasion. Going to that well twice in a row is unimaginative and unlikely. Most of the past animosity will have been worked out during the war. Too many krogan served on Palaven, or alongside turians and salarians in other theatres, to maintain much of a grudge. They will most likely have developed a certain degree of respect for people they once resented and the others will probably respect them as well.
Still, conflict will most likely arise from within the current status quo, and there are many possibilities. The Leviathan may make a resurgence once the Reapers are no longer a threat. It's quite possible that their arrogance demands other races render them whatever they consider to be appropriate 'tribute'. There may be those who want to cooperate and probably those who don't.
There is Parnack and the yahg. They could have been the dominant species in the next cycle had the Reapers completed their harvest. They're a good foil for the krogan, but the Council (and whoever's on it) will have to decide what to do about the yahg sooner or later. There is also that bird-species - the Raloi - that made tentative contact then abandoned it shortly before the Reapers arrived. What's left of the batarians and is anything done about them? There may be other new species out there (friendly and not) to meet-and-greet.
There's also that little note Shepard can discover on Sur'Kesh about the salarians secretly uplifting the yahg. That could hint at some other possible frictions between members of the Council which might be solved diplomatically or martially. If nothing else, there will always be somebody who wants what somebody else wants to keep, and mercenaries only too willing to do things for the right bidder.
Red vs Green ending nerd rage wars
@Thehumaneldar The Mass relays have been destroyed and in the destroy ending it’s implied that a lot of other advanced technology was as well. Everyone on the Citadel was slaughtered and it’s possible that it’s nature as a giant Reaper trap would become common knowledge at some point. The galaxy would be going through an unprecedented dark age with huge swathes of the galaxy completely out of contact with one another. Three of the four council home worlds have been decimated by the Reapers. The idea that the Council system could survive an event like that is like saying the UN system could survive a nuclear war.
^Yes, and all that got repaired like it was nothing. Evidence is both the extended ending and the apparent fact that the relays will need to be working.
They never state what happened to the population at the Citadel. But assuming they all did die, then the place gets repopulated.
Even if it became known that the place was a trap, does it matter now? The Reapers are no more or are allies (assuming all three choices are canon.). If anything, folks would be more wondering if they could turn the Relay systems on to explore Dark Space.
Or it goes through a short period of limited contact that returns to normal because the Relays get repaired.
And all three rebuild themselves with no problem. Again extended ending and common sense to make this all work.
I hope we don't go back to the "new" Andromeda races. Even the Hanar are more interesting than the ones we got in Andromeda.
^well, sorry, but the Andromeda Galaxy got hinted at being in the game, so we are likely To see the Kett, Angara, Remnant, and maybe any other races we had yet to meet will likely be in the game.
On the bright side, with the extra time, the devs can flesh Out the races.
Andromeda is IMO a good setting. It needs fleshing out, it needs an engaging story and proper consequences following your choices. We got to choose outcomes, they just made no difference whatsoever. But the setting was not the issue.
Personally, I'd like to see a Kett retaliation force incoming scenario (with an expanded Kett cast), where you need to politic/shoot your way to shape the helios cluster into something that can take on the Kett. Maybe have the Geth show up to throw a spanner in the midgame climax.
Yay it be civil war but system alliance will become very human first
What do you think?
