1. The Commando
- suffers from a rare neurodegenerative condition: her memories gradually blur and fade away
- long-term memory is affected first, then short-term
- used to have a good friend who wasn't aware of the condition (it didn't manifest at the time of their friendship)
- over the years, they've separated
- now the Commando is looking for her friend again, since she doesn't know how much time she has before she loses all of her memories

- helped C-Sec on a couple of cases
- decided to become private investigator
- left the Citadel after a case went wrong

4. The Hacker
- lost her parents
- was picked up during one of the STG's missions on Tuchanka
- had a knack for tech and programming
- was trained as a hacker by her father figure
- still experienced some bias from her STG colleagues
- left STG and became independent hacker
- started looking for her parents

5. The Marine
- had a stellar track record
- during one of the missions refused to sacrifice his squad for the mission objective
- his squad was the only one to survive this failed mission
- he was relieved of command and exiled
- his former squad was sent to complete the mission and got wiped out
- he's been heavily drinking on Omega since then
- occasionally works as a mercenary

- during her Pilgrimage passed through Omega
- despite the filth, gangs and violence, she loved it
- after the Pilgrimage she worked for the Fleet for some time, then decided to leave and go to Omega
- formed a small quarian community on Omega, consisting of exiles and people who didn't want to come back from their Pilgrimages
- works as a freelance hacker
