The cut content can be restored in ME1 using mods. If anything, both surviving might have resulted in a weird love triangle when Shep comes back from the dead in ME2. And let's be honest, we all know who would wear the pants in that relationship.

Both could appear on Horizon and throughout ME3

I personally wish they would’ve kept it in imagine whoever was a possible LI in ME1 shows up on horizon in ME2 the other we hear about from Anderson then ME3 whoever was the possible LI gets put in the hospital and becomes a spectre while the other stays with us the whole time then by the time the citadel mission happens it’s the other squad mate that talks down the new spectre

If I'm not mistaken, whether it be Ashley or Kaidan, in ME: 3 Leng was supposed recruit them to join Cerberus in order to stop you. Would've been interesting/funny af if they disliked you enough to actually join.

I've heard about that actually. Many fans would have loved to have been able to receive that. But...the other idea did give me some interesting concepts of my own for my story.

I would still find a way to get one of them killed. They’re both useless.
