If this choice ended up staying in mass effect, how much of the story do you think would change if both were alive?
The cut content can be restored in ME1 using mods. If anything, both surviving might have resulted in a weird love triangle when Shep comes back from the dead in ME2. And let's be honest, we all know who would wear the pants in that relationship.
