So I chose to play Andromeda first instead of the main 3 games simply because...
1-I already knew more about the story of the 3 main games
2-Andromeda is all new to me
But the ending did have some cliffhangers and some questions about the Andromeda vs Milky Way galaxies for future games. Since Mass Effect Andromeda is called Andromeda instead of "Mass Effect 4: Andromeda" I kind of treat it as it's own variation of the story. Like a side story. So wondered if what you guys think. Will bioware have Androma be a part of the 3 previous OG titles? Or will there be a Mass Effect Andromeda 2? Such as Fallout 1, 2, 3, New Vegas, and 4. Mass Effect 1, 2, 3, Andromeda, 4. Personally, I like the idea that Andromeda is separate so the stories don't overlap drastically. Plus, I hope they can build the roster of Andromeda like the 3 main ME games did. Since the Quarian Ark is in a situation of danger, but they for plot purposes don't describe the threat. Just a brief warning. Also since at the end of the Andromeda Archon from a tab I read didn't say he was straight up dead dead(like his brain melted inside) they describe it as if his main or spirit was out of body. Which to me, means the Archon's body is dead, but the mind of him is somewhere in the Remnant system either dormant or plotting in a Andromeda 2. Also I think it is canon that the Reapers were defeated in some form. Whether or not all the characters decide is up for imagination.
Also 600 years later must be a lot of time for recovery from the Milky Way. So I think at this point the Andromeda and the Milky Way will continue with the idea that they indeed survived the Reapers invasion and assume everyone from the Milky Way is dead. I do like the idea Andromeda is free from much of anything from the 3 main games such as the Reapers. I will have to look it up again but I think the Reapers every 50,000 years come into the Milky Way to eradicate most of civilization and then leave after the onslaught and repeat. A galaxy reset. So by that, I don't remember if the Reapers are beyond the galaxy doing the same thing or if it is only the Milky Way if that was ever explained.
