For me, I felt kind of saddened I couldn't get Jackie, Samara, or Thane(Thanes situation was out of anyone's power). So i would preferably have all Andromeda companions and add maybe 4 new ones. But, I know that to many companions could be overwhelming to a degree. But that just promotes more replayability. I know in Andromeda a conversation with Jaal was that he was given an offer to basically be part of an Elite Angaran resistance team. He rejected it to stay on the Tempest. But if lets say Ryder "died" or "missing" for about a year. Jaal could've become a Captain of a Special forces the Angaran resistance had to offer. So he now has a new responsibility to something he knows he can't just turn down. So he won't per say "begone" just be out of the main picture. Sort of how Liara didn't have much of a role in missions other than the Shadow Broker mission. Or that Wrex was handling Krogans on Tuchunka but he was still there, and played a role in grunts personal quests.
But I bet they will pull out some of the maybe "less" favored companions and have them side lined for plots instead of gameplay. So who knows, maybe Dracks might be "grandfathering" taking family into priority instead of fighting. As long as my tall waifu is still there than I am good.
