DESTROY is the ONLY ending. Anyone who says otherwise is indoctrinated.
@Lethal blade00 Yup, this is still a thing I do.
Synthesis is the only way. It is inevitable, not enforced, but chosen. I choose only it everytime.
Shepard can doubt himself making a choice, sure. -who am I to decide? but he is the choice of the galaxy, so whatever future you wish to see, that is where your path will lead you. Mine leads to synthesis.
@Andre Hawke no it is not
@MadMikeRyan I would be surprised otherwise
Synthesis always seems creepy to me when I choose it. It always seemed like meddling in the process of evolution by turning the entire galaxy into a hybrid of organic and synthetic life. That’s kind of messed up. It felt like turning everyone into a perfected form of husks (Not an accurate comparison but you get the idea). Plus it was Saren’s goal in ME1 and he was indoctrinated into thinking it was a good idea. As he said “The strengths of both and the weaknesses of neither” EDI even implies this in her synthesis dialogue.
Control always seems wrong and odd. Mainly because Shepard essentially becomes a reaper, sounds like one with the buzzing voice and all and refers to him/herself as a past life, sort of implying that who he/she was, is dead & reborn as a god. As an immortal, how long until organics frustrate you with their petty wars and misunderstandings before you decide to harvest them millennia later when all you know and love is dead and gone? At that point what is really stopping you? Also it was TIM’s goal all along. So was he really the bad guy then ?
Destroy was always the goal of every Shepard from the very beginning. On the one hand legion, the geth and EDI die. EDI is the sadder of the 2 because it felt like she was finally becoming human in a sense. I also feel bad for joker since his sister was killed by that asari huntress in the hospital. He’ll be lonely and stranded on a planet with no way back because of all the damage done to the mass relays. On the other hand this is the only ending where Shepard actually survives. Which makes you wonder if starchild actually lied about all synthetic life and technology getting destroyed.
In conclusion I think the ending each individual chooses depends on their morals, understanding and their view of the world and what it should be.
@Yoofi it was all tech with reaper code.
@Lethal blade00 if I remember correctly the child said “the crucible will not discriminate. All synthetics will be targeted. Even you are partly synthetic.”
@Yoofi What I meant was it both lied and did’nt at the same time. In low EMS ending that holds true but in high EMS ending it doesn’t.
I destroy the reapers everytime
I always go Synthesis. This because it is the only solution making sense. The true geths sacrifice to get peace with their creators, and how they have used the time to rebuild the planet so tht they could live together in peace. All of this would be in vain if one take destroy.
And control, just makes one an almighty dictator that easily can use the reapers as a threat against world, to controll them.
The blue one.
What do you think?
