Celebrity status LoL. Ok to be clearer she probably just sent over whatever Geth tech she was able to scrounge up when on the Normandy but overall since she is the daughter of one of the admirals and famed in the aid of stopping a Geth invasion into Citadel Space the captains probably figured not taking her pilgrimage gift too seriously in hopes of increasing their political legitimacy.
^ That and the fact that it was Han'Gerrel, her father's best friend, who took her in to his crew, so chances are that he would've accepted whatever little thing Tali would've brought to the Fleet no matter the circumstances.
The pilgrimage is also a way to keep the quarians genetic diversity. @Joupena Nepotism would weaken the fleet.
It would be if Gerrel took Tali on to his ship without anything to back her skill or importance to the Fleet. But my point is that due to his close affiliation to both her and Rael, he would naturally be more inclined to accept whatever gift Tali brought before him.
I wouldn't necessarily count that as nepotism, especially since it's very rare for a quarian captain to refuse a new crew member in the first place, no matter how "poor" the gift that they receive might be.
@Joupena The most most important part is that they don’t stay on their birthship as to keep their genetic diversity intact
^And she doesn’t? Sorry, I don't see a reason to inform us of this information.
Just a thought, but Tali also served on one of the most advanced ships in Citadel Space. As leader of the Quarian 'security' fleet, Gerrel might be quite interested in any 'observations' she made while she was there.
What do you think?
