Wanted to add Geth and Batarian, but apparently can only have 6 options

^ no one is going to seriously consider these two anyways. At most it would be the 2nd or 3rd character that is mostly for laughs

Of course assuming the races get bonuses in line with what they are in game. Geth has no individuality and Batarians are straight up have nothing going for them. Even as pirates, humans and Krogan would be able to fill these roles.

For it's a tie between Krogan and Turian.

I always go for Strength/Tank/Warrior type, so Krogans are natural for me. But as a race Turians fascinate me.

But you're right. They have no individuality, unless we decide Legion was just one unit with autonomy out of many; which IMO would really subtract from his character.

Turians, on the other hand, always inspire me with their unity and solidarity. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, as logic dictates, and I enjoy playing Turians from tanky Sentinels to the Armiger classes.

Tossup between Turian and Quarian. I find both fascinating and would depend on how it played out. If it's just a straight Destiny 'clone', Turian. If it were a bit more evolved than just a shooter, say with more engineer-y elements, probably Quarian. Of course, if it's an MMO, the option for multiple characters is kind of a given, so... I'd just end up with one of each anyway.

Legion himself identifies (as much as a geth mobile unit can identify itself) as many, this he picks the name Legion, "for we are many", when woken up on the SR-2.

Don't get me wrong, Geth are probably the most interesting race in the galaxy, but I just can't see people picking it as a main. How would that work in a sense of a game is what I have issues with.

I'd meant if other units, at launch identical to the one we refer to as Legion, existed and were tasked with surveying organic interactions. They would constitute the drones we would play in this game.

If that were the case, I think Legion's uniqueness and exhibition of a "soul" (starting as early as using Shepard's armor for repairs) could be diminished.
