”The name Cerberus comes from Greek mythology, where Cerberus is the three-headed dog that guards the gates of Hades. In-universe, the organization's name comes from Jack Harper's manifesto detailing the need for humanity to have a "Cerberus" to guard it from the aliens beyond the Charon Relay (Charon is the ferryman in Greek mythology in charge of ferrying souls to Hades).” There is also names from the Norse mythology excluding our own Sun which is named after the norse Sun goddess. The Asgard system and the Loki, Fenris and Ymir mechs. It feels the drew the line on mythological names on Hades cannon otherwise we might have had Thanatos weaponry. It would have been quite funny and even more on the nose. Hades is the God of the dead and Thanatos is Death Incarnate more commonly known today as the Grim Reaper.
