I romanced Ashley because I genuinely like her character and romancing Tali felt wrong to me as she was essentially a teen entering adulthood so it was weird for me. Ashley in the other is fully grown and responsible woman who's a nice person and best choice for Shepard
God, you have the willpower of a green lantern to do that. I can barely handle one evil renegade choice (i.e. sabotaging the krogan genophage cure). I always make sure that everyone gets a happy ending.
