Introduction[]

Pre-Order Disc[]

Casey Hudson: Hi. I'm Casey Hudson, project director on Mass Effect, and thanks for pre-ordering the game. Now, to show our appreciation, we put a whole bunch of really cool stuff on this disc. We've got Mass Effect-themed blades, we've got gamer pics, and we've got tracks from the musical score, and a whole bunch of other content you can't get anywhere else. So, thanks again for being as excited about Mass Effect as we are. Enjoy the disc.

Limited Collector's Edition[]

Casey Hudson: Hi. I'm Casey Hudson, project director on Mass Effect. Now, it took a team of 120 people here at BioWare, and countless others around the world, to complete this truly enormous project. And to show you how we did it, we've created four unique documentaries, starting with The Vision of Mass Effect, which looks at the inspirations for the game. Then, The Making of Mass Effect looks at the actual production of the game, and shows how the art, design and programming all came together to bring the game to life. Interactive Storytelling looks at how we bring an interactive cinematic experience to the next level using special technology for digital actors that we've developed here at BioWare. And finally, Inside BioWare takes you behind the scenes and introduces you to the people who actually worked on the game, and looks at BioWare's history from the Baldur's Gate series to Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, and beyond. We've also added a special selection of music from the soundtrack, and you can view hundreds of images in the design galleries, with commentary by the actual artists themselves. Enjoy.

Soundtrack[]

Introduction[]

Casey Hudson: Welcome to the soundtrack. Now, I think the music is one of the most unique parts of the Mass Effect experience. And just like Mass Effect is kind of a nostalgia for the great science-fiction movies of the late seventies and early eighties, the music is kind of a throw-back to the ambient electronica and haunting orchestral scores of the great movies of that period. And so, we hope that you enjoy this special selection of music, composed by Jack Wall and Sam Hulick.
