There are currently five comics in the Mass Effect universe. As the game is considered to be the player's story, none of comics, like the novels, feature Commander Shepard as the main character. The sole exception is Mass Effect: Genesis, which, being interactive, allows the player to control Shepard's decisions.

Comics and Comic Series

On a side note the webcomic Original Life on the website Shows unique and hard to find scenes depicting speech between shepard and samara. comic portion 50-100 comic number 94-97 i think. There also various websites which have been running promotions and have reported they will continue to do so until November of 2011. Some such sites are the dr. pepper site, 7-eleven, and others. One website even made a reference to Mass Effect 2 when the main character bought the game and was seen on a mission with Tali and Samara/mordin this website is jay naylor and has helped Mass Effect 2 gain many more buyers following their down period where sales dropped after december.

Upcoming Comics

  • On March 13, 2010, BioWare and Dark Horse greenlit a third Mass Effect comic series. As yet unnamed, it will feature another original story developed by Mac Walters and John Jackson Miller, this time set after the events of Mass Effect 2. Unlike Redemption and Evolution, the new series will have no set length and will be produced on an ongoing basis.[4]
