I hope this is the right forum for this but regarding Mass Effect 3 ammo powers and mods, for weapons that don't penetrate, such as the Scorpion heavy pistol or Krysae sniper rifle, would they still receive a damage bonus against armor from armor piercing mods or armor piercing ammo?

And for certain weapons I'm finding I may want to use a stability mod and extended barrel, but would Incendiary Ammo be a good enough substitute in place of the armor piercing mod if I didn't have the AP ammo power? Great Mara (talk) 10:56, October 30, 2014 (UTC)

Armor piercing mod doesn't work on Scorpion and Krysae.FirstDrellSpectre (talk) 19:37, October 30, 2014 (UTC)

For piercing through obstacles yes, but what about the extra damage against armor added for other weapons. That's the main point of what I was asking. Great Mara (talk) 22:21, October 30, 2014 (UTC)
Weapons that can't penetrate cover don't suffer the armor penalty in the first place, so there's no armor damage reduction that can be mitigated with AP mods or rounds.

To clarify, since Armor-Piercing Ammo does grant a damage bonus, that should work irregardless of weapon type. The power's "Armor Effectiveness" (reduces armor penalty) and "Penetration" attributes would have no effect, though. Elseweyr talkstalk 10:42:52, 2014-10-31 (UTC)
