Why don't we ever see female Turians in the Mass Effect games? I had this discussion with somebody recently and we did find it odd that for one of the most prominent species in the game, we never see the other gender. Especially when other prominent Races either have a large and powerful female presence (The Quarians) or at least have influential females that appear once in the series as a paragon of the role of women in their society (Salarians and Krogan). I did consider that the very fact that the Turian society is centred around the military and appears to be rather patriarchal would affect the presence of their females in the Galactic community. I think the reason why we didn't see female turians is that few thousand dollars EA spared with not spending on their development. It'd have been nice though... there are some nice fanarts out there they could have used. Some feathers, a little softer lineaments, and there it is: Turian chicks. - Actually, we have already seen what turian females look like. Remember Abrudas? As for their not appearing in the games, let's remember that the first game was made under Microsoft, not EA. BioWare has actually explained that there wasn't enough time, nor space on the disk, to include two genders of every species, though they would have loved to. Anyways, I'm sick of seeing EA blamed for everything. Sure they're a vile, greedy corporation, but they aren't some evil entity out to destroy gaming as we know it or something. Everybody chill out. - Don't forget they had 2 more games to make Femturians Ingame. Instead, they created a whole new race, called the drell... They are cool, But why create a new thing when your previous creation is very much incomplete?
- Why not? Drell are great. Besides, BioWare said in their SDCC panel that they were "listening to the fans" as far as female turians in future DLC are concerned. I think that means that they're coming. We just have to be patient. Arbington (talk) 14:27, July 22, 2012 (UTC)
