I cannot be the only one who has noticed this, but I could not find any reference to it on the Wiki, not on Javik's page, his dialogue page, or the Priority: Eden Prime page.
The dialogue happens at the end of the Eden Prime mission, after you have returned to the Normandy and spoken to Hackett. Shepard gets called by Liara to diffuse the tension in the port cargo bay with the new squaddie. Javik gets up and reads Shepard and based on (something), will say one of a few things. I've encountered three so far.
"For a soldier facing the reapers, you feel:
- More confidence than fear: You believe you are winning."
- Fear and despair for the future. You are losing."
- Uncertainty (don't quite remember this one)"
In all three playthroughs, I was at least 90% Paragon. In the third (which was my first playthrough) I was 100% paragon. I got the second one today, when I got Prothy almost as soon as I'd sorted out Mars and gotten the first wave of Citadel "find my missing rock" missions completed. I reloaded to a spot just before leaving for Eden Prime and side stepped it, going on to Tuchanka and other find-a-rock missions.
I got the first one just a few minutes ago, after I'd resolved the first Citadel crisis and installed Alenko back on the Normandy so I could drag him along on the Eden Prime mission.
Of course, I'd completed more of the game, and now my rep was much higher, as is my war asset score. The difference in my GAW readiness score between the two was 1%.
Has anyone else seen this? Do you know what the differences are based on? Reputation, war assets? Game progress? Has anyone heard a different reading from Prothy? +|| Legionnaire Scout -- talk ||+ 23:57, August 5, 2012 (UTC)
It's based on the war assets. Higher the number, the better Shep feels. If you acquire Javik early on, like right after Menae, he'll say anxiety and that Reapers are winning. If you get him when you have semi-reasonable assets, it'll be uncertainty. If you get him waaaaay later by the end of the game, he'll go on about Shep believing in victory. --Kainzorus Prime Walkie-talkie 00:00, August 6, 2012 (UTC)

- war assets? i gibbed a playthrough to get a 90% renegade and... oh wait. i got javik after getting tali. in an utterly rushed playthrough. he ended up saying shep had more confidence than fear even though the assets are crap. my bad.
- i suppose there's a way to write that into his character page if you're a veritable wordsmith - it'll sound "off" if improperly written. and it isn't really unique dialogue either, nor does it belong to the eden prime page since he says that aboard the normandy.
