I just beat "Mass Effect 3" for the first time and the ending is obscure & quite honestly, doesn't make any sense to me. I imported my female Shepard that played thru ME1 & ME2 and here is my "War Room" information...

Total Military Strenght: 4793 Readiness Rating: 50% Effective Military Strenght: 2396

I chose the path to the left (control the Reapers). My female Shepard disintergrates into dust & this "blue" light makes the Reapers leave & destroys all of the Mass Relays. Okay, I understand that I saved everyone by telling the Reapers to leave. But here is what I don't get...

(1) My female Shepard obviously did not survive, but it is unclear whether or not she became a Reaper? The way I see it, either she got vaporized by telling the Reapers to leave or she got integrated into a ship (thus loosing her physical human form) and became a Reaper.

(2) If the Normandy was fighting near Earth, where the heck did it go? I mean, I totally get the "lets try to outrun this massive energy shockwave" response, but the way the showed the Normandy crash into some kind of lush forest area. I thought that ships required the Mass Relays to traverse large distances that quickly?

In closing, am I the only one who thinks that this ending doesn't make any sense? I mean, they could have explained it better! Seriously, please do not be hating on me, I love the Mass Effect games but this ending was "mediocre" to me. They could have fleshed out stuff a lot more to make the player go "ahh, that makes sense".

THANK YOU VERY MUCH BIOWARE / EA FOR MAKING THIS AWESOME TRILOGY!
