Project: Foods

Adding a page devoted to the various foods of ME. Already made it but it was deleted. I assumed that it would be superfluous to go through this process; ME2 alone lists enough foods for the page to be created and with ME:A's abundance... ¨Doing it the right way¨ now.

procedure is to make a draft somewhere on your user space, not on the mainspace itself. it was *nowhere* near presentable since it was obviously copypasted from elsewhere and so would need quite a few revisions to put it to a presentable state. It wasn't a draft, nor a copy and paste. I wrote it. I can probably prove that by listing every-where you can find these. And I'm not sure what else I could have done to make it more presentable, as far as I'm aware: there were no errors but only nitpicks. --Theh5 (talk) 14:04, October 3, 2017 (UTC)
Yes, I wrote it. I may not have been the creator (of the intro). Foods and drinks are two of the same, or counterparts to each other. It seemed logical for an identical intro, or would you have preferred some-thing original when you already created some-thing perfect for an intro? --Theh5 (talk) 14:17, October 3, 2017 (UTC)

As a note here: The page is available. As a side-note here: If some-one could delete my profile page (as far as I understand it, moderator and up), I'd appreciate that. --Theh5 (talk) 15:05, October 3, 2017 (UTC)

(About the vote, I knew it was early but the voting still wouldn't have--never-mind:) Right, I think I've done all I can. Stopped doing articles after SCP, I just want a place to stick info' in. So, if any-one wants to take a look, give some ideas, re-design the entire thing... (I do have one question, does explaining who said the picture comment [that appears when hovering the mouse over it] ruin the joke?) Other-wise, we wait until october 10 to start the voting, if I understand it correctly. --Theh5 (talk) 13:56, October 5, 2017 (UTC)

I'm okay with the proposal. Just curious, where do most of these information came about?  teugeneTalkContr 16:24, October 10, 2017 (UTC)

just to be clear. the idea is sound but the execution is waaay off base and thus will require major revisions before it could even be put to a vote.

  1. it's just huevos rancheros. abuela is grandmother.
  2. just arthropods. everything on the article is by definition edible (to someone).
  3. unusable pic. misspelled and lowres.
  4. looks like cereals can get their own level 2 subheading.
  5. pick one: the food's scientific name, common name, or alternate common name. listing them all unnecessarily lengthens the section label and the generated table of contents. you go with a label when it's provided. i'd go with common names then list the alts / scientific names on the main body of the text.
  6. mashed potatoes -> just potatoes, list under fruits and veggies, list its many possible mentions there. obviously preparing potatoes goes beyond just mashing them.
  7. amino-dextrous, amino-sinister, levo-amino. get a competent proofreader (or pay one) if you are unable to do so yourself.
  8. miscellaneous badly-phrased sentences all across the article. refer to advice above.
  9. fish and chips are snacks.
  10. overlinking is a crime. just once is enough.
  11. seems like meat foods can be further reorganized under their own heading. only the general ones though, like originating animal as section label then various mentioned methods of preparation in the body of the text. more complex recipes involving the other food groups maybe should be left as is.
  12. not trivia: everything except the first one

Temporary Editor, thank you. Though I will note: 7. is correct, they aren't capitalized but hyphenated: https://youtu.be/9MpEB5H9xo8?t=11m51s . And unusable picture, I assume it's too low-res' but ít is shown in-game in a kiosk menu on Tuchunka. And while overlinking may be a crime, it is done because the reader may only read a specific paragraph and as a result they may not find a linked version of the name but...

Teugene, in-game. I've tried to list smaller references that may be deducable to exact locations; some with ME:A scanner, some from dialogue, some from e-mails, some from other. I'm also suprised how I managed to find it all. --Theh5 (talk) 03:41, October 11, 2017 (UTC)

Okay, I've revised the article line by line twice over. I remember why I left the Foundation. I have one question: Is the picture usable, if not then tell my why so that I can find another. If, for what-ever reason, the currect article isn't acceptable then there is nothing more *I* can do. It should be good though, if it is either start the vote or tell me to do it ... if not then I request that some-one orphan this page from me and rewrite it. --Theh5 (talk) 00:03, October 12, 2017 (UTC)

pic is shittier than the last. remove it and don't bother replacing, i'll deal with it if this article gets implemented.
now, there are still a bunch of stuff that needed fixing to bring this project to an almost ready-for-release state, but due to time constraints on my end i won't be able to elaborate for a while. by default i can't intrude on your userspace without permission to do so (except under certain situations that almost certainly means banhammering afterward), but i have a few concepts that i'd like to test when i have time. this means the project certainly won't be ready for a while, but it would be incrementally updated to something all of us would be happy upon release. T̴̴͕̲̞̳̖̼̱͒͛̎͒ͫ̃ͧeͩ̈̽̈҉͓̝̰̼̦̫̤̀͠m̫̪̪̯̻͎̫̅̇̓̇͌̚p̸̙̝̓̓͌ͨ͆ͣͥ̂̕o͒̽͐̽͏̞̬̻͕͔͕͚̰͍͠͞ṙ̢̞͚͈̹̰ͨ̓ͭ̈́̌ạ̢̧̪̹̺̺̣̹̲͂͆̏ͪͨ͒ͭř̹͈͜͠y̷͍̻̜̹̼̾̽̈́e̵̹̼̟̦͚͐̈́͌͘d͉̲̣̻͉̱͗̅ḭ̷̻̆͋̆̓̔͝t̨͍̦̫̗͂̅̍̋̆ͩ͝ộ̫̟̬̳̝̲̾ͫ̒̿ͮ̑̚rͯ̎ͨͭ̄̿̽͛҉̠̫̱̠̘̘̲́ͅ7̩̻ͤͩͨ͝͡8̜̣̙͇̻ͨ͛͛̆͒̆̽̒͐͜͡ ͥ̍̉̃̇ͥ̓ͨ͏̕҉̥̹͓̗̤̠̖̤ (talk) 11:13, October 13, 2017 (UTC)
Because you, seemingly, require it: Permission to what-ever you want on my work-space. I am interested in seeing what will be done differently, hopefully it will be more than personal taste regarding style. And the picture: The reason for using that one is because Bioware placed it in the Tuchunka kiosk on the pyjak meat (where pyjak is capitalized, there being another word infront of it) so it\s already a food-associated picture, aside from that--if you want a recommendation--there is a pristine image of a steak in Ryder-Vetra romance scene.
And if it matters: I was unable to find the Rhaum plant on Kadara and one other that I no longer remember. Many of the food items also have in/game models, which could be captured then placed on the article\d corresponding food. --Theh5 (talk) 17:19, October 13, 2017 (UTC)--Theh5 (talk) 17:19, October 13, 2017 (UTC)
