The Geth Sniper is essentially a Geth Trooper that specialises in long range combat, not to be confused with the Geth Hopper. Snipers are dark brown with red armor details and emit a bright cyan light from their 'flashlight eye'. They excel in the use of sniper rifles and are extremely dangerous, often able to kill an enemy with a single well-placed shot. They have two levels of shielding and are moderately resilient, making up for their light armor by using a radar jammer.

As with all sniper-class enemies, Geth Snipers possess the Assassination ability. When the Sniper emits a thin red laser beam, it is preparing an Assassination shot that can cause massive damage or even instant death on higher difficulties.

Tactics

  • Geth Sniper tactics include standing off at long range, often in hidden nests, and taking potshots at the squad while they are busy fighting other geth. Caught out in the open they are very easy to kill and are weak against biotics. They can be taken out with a single shot from most high-level sniper rifles. The Sabotage talent is useful to prevent them from firing and allow the squad to move freely.
  • Due to their elevated position and lethal talents, Geth Snipers make excellent targets for AI Hacking.
  • Immunity and Barrier can effectively negate the effects of an Assassination shot.
