A batarian mercenary, Groto Ib-ba was a member of the Blue Suns. After they were paid for the destruction of the base at Sidon, Ib-ba chose to spend his credits at a high-class brothel called the Sanctuary, only to discover that Saren Arterius had tracked him there to find out what the Blue Suns had been up to. Saren brutally tortured Ib-ba until he revealed that Sidon had not gone completely as planned - that Kahlee Sanders had survived - and Skarr had been sent to find and kill her. Once he had what he needed, Saren broke Ib-ba's neck.
