Habitat 7 is a golden world in the Heleus Cluster of the Andromeda Galaxy, assigned to the colonists aboard Ark Hyperion. It is surrounded by a large ring system. As with all golden worlds, it is initially thought to be a verdant paradise and an ideal colonization prospect.

The planet is revealed to be surrounded by a dangerous energy cloud and possesses a volatile atmosphere upon Hyperion's arrival. A team goes down to explore in order to get to the bottom of the problem.
