Mass Effect: Foundation is a comic series written by Mac Walters.[1] It is the fifth Mass Effect comic series produced, with 13 issues released as opposed to the usual 4. The first issue was released on July 24, 2013.[2] The series has been stated to have a connection to the Mass Effect 3: Citadel DLC pack for Mass Effect 3,[1] and issue 5 ties directly into Mass Effect 2. [3]
Thus far three paperback volumes have been released. Volume 1 collects issues 1-4[4], volume 2 collects issues 5-8[5], and volume 3 collects issues 9-13[6]. Volume 1 was released on February 5, 2014, Volume 2 was released on June 4, 2014, and Volume 3 was released on November 5, 2014.
