Non-existent item levels and extrapolated weapon data[]

Some weapons (and other items) do not exist at all quality levels. Some weapon data may not be known, but can be extrapolated from known weapon levels. Here are some thoughts on how to represent that. --Hexdump 09:49, 18 December 2007 (UTC)

  • Weapons that do not exist at an item level are indicated by space (i.e., empty table cell) or perhaps a hyphen/minus sign(-) since the latter makes editing easier.
  • Unknown data is indicated by item level in Roman numerals.
  • Extrapolated data is indicated by digits in italics.

Regular table with some missing data:

Edge[]

Weapon Level: I II III IV V VI VII VIII IX X
Manufacturer: Elkoss Combine
Damage: 112 120 128 IV 144 152 160 VIII IX 184
Shots Before Overheat: 13 14 14 IV 16 16 17 VIII IX 19
Accuracy Rating: 38 39 40 IV 43 44 45 VIII IX 49

Some levels not available, indicated by hyphen:

HWMP[]

Weapon Level: I II III IV V VI VII VIII IX X
Manufacturer: Spectre - Master Gear
Damage: - - - - - - 249 VIII IX 294
Shots Before Overheat: - - - - - - 29 VIII IX 29
Accuracy Rating: - - - - - - 88 VIII IX 88

Spaces for non-available item levels and extrapolated data:

HWMP[]

Weapon Level: I II III IV V VI VII VIII IX X
Manufacturer: Spectre - Master Gear
Damage: 249 249 264 294
Shots Before Overheat: 29 29 29 29
Accuracy Rating: 88 88 88 88

Extrapolated data is better that no data at all when the progression is obvious, but that fact that the data is extrapolated should be indicated. I do not think the distinction between regular and italcs is very visible (at least not white-on-blue on my screen). Perhaps extrapolated data should be shown in another color, such as gray or red. --Hexdump 09:49, 18 December 2007 (UTC)

Templates for weapons[]

I have some ideas for tempaltes (and a working prototype) on my user page. This should make data entry easier. I'll put it on this page once when it's ready. --Hexdump 09:49, 18 December 2007 (UTC)

The ItemsList Template[]

This page should be altered to show the usage of the ItemsList template. Any objection for the change? --silverstrike 21:06, February 12, 2010 (UTC)
