The Naladen is a sniper rifle in Mass Effect: Andromeda.

Description

The Naladen, translated to "taker," is a scoped rifle capable of firing plasma-surrounded projectiles that explode on impact and burn anyone in the immediate vicinity. The Naladen mixes precision targeting with indiscriminate damage. What that says about kett military culture is a subject best left to expert xenosociologists.

Features

The Naladen is unable to use a Sniper Rifle Receiver Mod.

The weapon gained improvements to damage, rate of fire, clip size, and max ammo in post-launch updates. The projectile force it deals also increased to 300, and an issue causing the Naladen explosion to deal no damage when cryo or fire ammo is equipped has been fixed.

Strategies

• The Concussive variant predictably makes twice the explosions: one the weapon produces naturally, and one upon an enemy's headshot death. Wielded competently, the Naladen can wipe out even moderately tough enemies if they're close together.
