Description

The Cryo-Gauntlet is an adaptation of a Remnant hand tool. The user's omni-tool forges the gauntlet around a Remnant technological core and then snap-freezes an enemy with a flood of super-cooled subatomic particles. Despite the dramatic visual, the surface freezing is painful, but not necessarily fatal.

Features

The Remnant Cryo-Gauntlet is able to prime enemies for a Cryo Combo . It is the weakest melee weapon in the game, relying more on its freezing ability to impair the enemy than raw damage output.

The Cryo-Gauntlet is the only Remnant weapon of which a functional example can be found as loot in the game world, in a chest in the large room with the gravity well right as Ryder enters the Remnant vault on Eos proper. Picking it up prompts some guessing from the squad pertaining its possible nature or function, seeing how it is the first example of handheld Remnant technology that they have come into contact with.
