Thank you.

An interesting glitch happens sometimes for me if i make the cure then make the guards hostile afterwards. If i go back down sometimes the guard is still lying there on his back alive and shooting at me. You can go melee him out of place and he will get up and act like a normal enemy and can be re-killed.

...Drew Barrymore?[]

Is it me or does Alestia kind of look like Drew Barrymore? It makes me wonder what other people's faces were used for models in-game(Besides people like Miranda and Samara). --Ryuji2 22:52, August 21, 2011 (UTC)

Things like the belong in the forums or a blog post as this isn't what talk pages are for. Lancer1289 22:53, August 21, 2011 (UTC)

clr above spoiler tag[]

Wait. Is the {{clr}} here some kind of relic from the past? A quick survey of char pages, histories etc. reveals it sprang up at some point, but it seems largely extinct by now.

While empty space between the description and spoiler tag looks weird, I'd argue it's even weirder to have spoiling text begin way before the char box ends (in some cases). Since this appears to be the norm, however, I'll remove the clr tag in the hope that it doesn't violate some MoS detail that has eluded me thus far. Elseweyr (talk) 19:52, September 17, 2013 (UTC)

Biotic-Enhanced Allele-Specific Hybridization[]

Can we talk about what this person says about what she does on Noveria?

She says she does molecular biology, specializing in [breathe] "biotic-enhanced allele-specific hybridization."

So, what exactly does this mean? Well, ignoring the biotics part, basically her job is to mix alleles, like Mendel's peas. In this case, she's trying to get heterozygous zygotes (in English, individuals with a copy of both the dominant and recessive allele - an example would be brown and blue eyes - imagine a brown-eyed person that also carries DNA coding for blue eyes), aka hybrids.

Here's the problem: there's no way biotics in any way enhances this process. Basically, we can make true-breeding (imagine brown-eyed people that DON'T carry the blue eye allele) populations just by artificial (as opposed to natural) selection - which is exactly what it sounds like it is. Now, if she's saying just one allele, that makes no sense, because that's no different than what we already do. If she's saying ALL alleles, that makes even less sense, because you might as well just make clones (which is something we can do today, without biotics).

Two possibilities exist:

a) Bioware was trying to make something that sounded science-y; or

b) This is a little easter egg for people who do a little research. Because, well, we all know the story of this character.
