Talk: Citadel: Schells the Gambler

Playing this mission I was never informed that I had reached 5 wins, and the mission info never changed, so I got kicked out with no reward. This was PC (steam) version of the game. Anyone else seen the similar? --96.253.243.241 02:29, December 2, 2009 (UTC)

XP Reward

Acquisiton Bug

I'm not sure why, but the cut scene where Schells shows up never, ever happens for me.

In ME3:Citadel?

I'm not sure but I think there may be a follow up to this in Citadel. Basically after beating the clone I went to the Silver Coast Casino and started to overhear a conversation between a quasar pro and a krogan bouncer. The bouncer commented on the pro's streak of luck in a similar way to how Doran does during this quest. HOWEVER I missed the pro's response as I triggered Kasumi. Now While I don't know for definite that it is linked I can't find out for definite as there has been no follow up interactions between these two NPCs, so I am asking if anyone else has come across this and can confirm or deny if the gambler may be using Schells device (I gave Schells his data in ME1). reload + play a few quasar rounds straight beside quasar pro/"mr. bates" and krud, you'll progressively unlock their exchanges.

krud does make the pointed allusion, but there's no explicit confirmation if

1. doing or not doing this assignment has any impact on that exchange (saw no hint in the bools both from inferred evidence and in extant internet posts)
2. "mr. bates" is actually cheating, guy knows exactly what to say and do in cases like this
3. the schells device was used instead of some other means. because of #1 and #2. Although I will add that in my other save made using ME:Genesis, ergo without any ME assignments completed, I never saw this interaction, suggesting that it does only occur if you do help/interact with Schells, but others will need to confirm before I can be sure of that. There isn't much reason to assume it would affect the exchange, but I could check whether having Schell's device confiscated in ME has any effect. — Elseweyr (talk) 16:31, August 27, 2013 (UTC)

Doesn't appear to have an effect; I handed Schells' device over to Doran in ME1, and I got the dialog that was quoted above. --Code65536 (talk) 16:56, August 27, 2013 (UTC)

High stake only?

Doesn't appear to do anything when I test it on low stake Quasar, do you have to win high stake Quasar to complete the assignment?

Quest glitch for winning quasar?

I went about doing this quest... but when i loaded the save after the camera got stuck on me i decided to do low stakes gambling with the device. but after two wins i got scolded by Doran... but. when i load the save and talk with Schells he asks if i got the 5 wins. so obviously something glitched out when i was doing the quest.
