Squad Member?[]

Cool a new character is she going to be a squad member or is there no info yet on herJwgray1985 00:08, February 1, 2012 (UTC)

Unknown at this point. Entia non sunt multiplicanda praeter necessitatem 00:09, February 1, 2012 (UTC)
All we know is she is a "reporter." what she is reporting on is as of yet unknown, as is when we meet her etc. --Burkenation 00:22, February 1, 2012 (UTC)
It's intriguing that she has an Alliance insignia on her top -- she probably shouldn't have that unless she's Alliance personnel -- but it doesn't prove anything... Diyartifact 03:39, February 1, 2012 (UTC)
Wait, never mind. I think that's the Alliance News Network logo -- the A-shaped Alliance symbol, with two N's below. Diyartifact 03:41, February 1, 2012 (UTC)
Maybe she's Khalisa Al-Jilani in disguise (being a reporter and whatnot) --ThePlatypus 21:30, February 26, 2012 (UTC)
Take comments like this to the appropriate places. Because this isn't it. Lancer1289 21:35, February 26, 2012 (UTC)

I hope that this won't reminds me about IGN, every time I see this character in ME3. -- Snfonseka (Talk) 05:55, February 1, 2012 (UTC)

This almost seems like one of those simulations in which you can build celebrity lookalikes and have them date you or your character. I don't know about you, but to me this character just screams "sexual fantasy". 124.183.99.66 07:59, February 2, 2012 (UTC)
Comments like this belong elsewhere like the forums or a blog post as this isn't what talk pages are for. Lancer1289 14:57, February 2, 2012 (UTC)

Character[]

Does anyone know anything about her personality?

Nothing that can be added right now most likely. It can't really be verified because of the NDA signed by the Space copy people, and the other copies that are floating out there are most likely from broken street dates. So once the game drops on the 6th, or if this wiki is based on Europe, the 9th, that stuff can be added. At least that is my view. I'm not an admin, though, so don't take my word as final. --Go Bruins! 04:55, March 5, 2012 (UTC)
Just to point out, this wiki is based in US Pacific Time, at least according to Spart. Three admins are based in the US, one in Eastern, one in Central, and one in Western/Pacific time. The other, is based on Australian Eastern Time. For releases, we go by when it is officially available. In this case, US Eastern Standard Time. Lancer1289 04:59, March 5, 2012 (UTC)
alright; I assume everything else I said was generally correct, Lancer? Can't add this information until 12:00am Eastern Standard Time on March the 6th? --Go Bruins! 05:01, March 5, 2012 (UTC)
That would be the standard that we seem to be working off of. And now back to power overhaul. Lancer1289 05:04, March 5, 2012 (UTC)

"Romance" with Allers[]

I heard you can still properly romance other characters after the "fling" with Allers. Is that true? Because I think it's worthwhile to point that out in the article. DrakevsShepard 17:59, March 27, 2012 (UTC)

If you're running a romance with Liara, as The Broker she finds out about it and get's "miffed"... --Gauris (talk) 09:07, July 8, 2017 (UTC)

Email before going to Earth[]

Ok, so I loaded a savegame this morning. It was just before ordering the fleets to Earth and all the sudden I get an email from her titled "Normal is the best revenge". I refuse to believe I simply missed it in all my playthroughs until now. Thoughts? Prismvg 07:25, April 4, 2012 (UTC)

I got that email during my first playthrough. Maybe you didn't miss the email in your own playthroughs so much as you missed the event that triggered the email (a conversation with Allers at some point, or something else). -- Commdor (Talk) 15:38, April 4, 2012 (UTC)
Nah, I got the trigger. Maybe I was just completely obvlivious. But for example, I loaded a different savegame (same moment, different character) and right then Traynor informed me about the new message. I guess it was something on my end. Anyway, shouldn't it be mentioned in the article? Prismvg 19:01, April 4, 2012 (UTC)
As far as I know, you get the email from her from talking with her before Priority: Earth Ale89515 (talk) 21:56, 10 December 2020 (UTC)

Unique Romance?[]

I noticed the trivia section states that she's unique as a romance because she has no romance scene, doesn't become committed to the commander and doesn't trigger the paramour achievement. This seems false because in Mass Effect 2, Kelly Chambers has no romance scene, nor any of the above. Shouldn't the trivia be removed? UltraSonicTH

I think it means "unique" to ME3. Manga (talkcontribs) 23:14, October 7, 2012 (UTC)
Actually no. Because even though a relationship with Kelly won't grant you the Paramour achievement she will still come up to your cabin. Provided she urvived the suicide mission and not only will she sit on you lap on the couch and on the bed with you but she will also change her outfit and dance for you. And the relationship can also be continued into the third game. --JordanaBrewsterFAN 09:37, January 5, 2013 (UTC)

Hmph[]

I strongly recommend changing the picture in the Romance section to a male Shepard. Draven Mephilés of Faerûn (talk) 20:28, October 6, 2013 (UTC)

Why? - Sikon (talk) 14:34, November 7, 2013 (UTC)
I think she's a male-shep only romance, and the picture is from someone who modded their Shepard. Could be wrong though. 99.140.214.163 22:53, December 8, 2013 (UTC) LiaShep

Missing Information?[]

Hey, I was trying to find information about which articles of hers that I can veto (I remember at least one scene where I had to chose to support her or a crew member, I supported the crew member, and I vetoed her story), I want to know whether or not I should veto them (if there are any consequences for doing so), and how many there are... is there a section for that... did I just miss it, or is that missing from her page?

184.90.185.120 20:33, April 20, 2014 (UTC) JC

the only effect of the argument is whether you choose to be a dick to allers or to copeland. in any case, the information was indeed missing from the page. rectified. Romance only available pre-Thessia[]

From a recent playthrough it seems as though Allers can't be romanced unless you do the post-Rannoch interview before doing Prioerity: Thessia. The interview will still be available, but it won't take the romantic turn at the end of it unless done before Thessia. Ale89515 (talk) 21:58, 10 December 2020 (UTC)

Headquote[]

I think she's significant enough to warrant a headquote. I nominate (verbatim): Wars can be won or lost in the editing room. And this war needs to be won. Runner-up would be the "Elcor crying" quote I guess but that's just more "flavor" than "representative" of the character. Neo89515 (talk) 04:40, 14 August 2021 (UTC)

Human Model[]

Back in 2012, there was an edit with the message of only "update" which rearranged a bunch of stuff on the page, introduced the infobox and so on. Also in that edit, the sentence "Dianna[sic] Allers is voiced by and modeled upon IGN's writer and host Jessica Chobot." was removed. Half of that information, the VA credit is in the infobox, but the modelling aspect fell off. I think it is worthwhile to mention that Chobot was Allers' body model, especially due to all of the controversy around her involvement. I will point out that Chobot worked for IGN at the time and IGN itself says that Allers was modelled on Chobot. So I vote for putting it back in, perhaps as a trivia point. DaBarkspawn (talk) 04:04, 28 February 2023 (UTC)

It's weird that the info of how she's modelled on Chobot went missing, because it's both obvious and has been confirmed multiple times by IGN and BioWare (and it was apparently Casey Hudson's idea if I remember correctly). Definitely needs to be put back in.--Loadingue (talk) 11:32, 28 February 2023 (UTC)
