Other Characters' Heavy Melees[]

As it stands now, the only characters we mention regarding heavy melees are those that destroy the head and the krogan. Has anyone tested other characters' heavy melees to see if they knock the Possessed Abomination back far enough? I'm thinking of the characters that do the "Falcon Punch," like drell characters and human adepts and vanguards. TheUnknown285 (talk) 12:34, October 23, 2012 (UTC)

The drell/vanguard punch doesn't do it, but the Human Adept's heavy melee might be able to push them away from you before they explode, which I think is worth adding if it works. --Mr. Mittens (talk) 14:34, October 23, 2012 (UTC)
What about the batarian's melee?TW6464 (talk) 14:39, October 23, 2012 (UTC)
We mention the batarian, along with the vorcha and two of the N7 characters as being able to destroy the enemy's head. TheUnknown285 (talk) 14:44, October 23, 2012 (UTC)
fair enough--TW6464 (talk) 14:46, October 23, 2012 (UTC)
I can confirm that Human vanguard's punch will knock them back far enough, assuming they don't hit an intervening obstacle.--Altanius (talk) 06:52, December 5, 2012 (UTC)

Possessed Abominations in the Armax Combat Arena[]

Does anyone know if the Possessed Abominations are encountered in the Armax Combat Arena? So far I've encountered every other Collector unit apart from these so I haven't added the arena to the locations just in case for some reason they're not in there. --Donovan-j-charlie (talk) 23:40, March 12, 2013 (UTC)

Over-Cover Grabs That Destroy Enemy Heads[]

I'd like to contest that the only over-cover grabs that can destroy enemy heads are the Krogan and Batarian's, respectively. As it stands, the article incorrectly states that the Geth as well as Adept and Vanguard characters' over-cover grab can destroy heads, but they do not: I've tested this, and all it's led to is having the Possessed Abomination explode as it normally would. Xiaolruc (talk) 21:29, April 25, 2014 (UTC)

Unless someone else steps in, I'll verify this as soon as I can. Elseweyr talkstalk April 25, 2014, 21:34:50 (UTC)

I'd also like to add that the same applies to the normal Abomination, since they are virtually one and the same. Xiaolruc (talk) 22:03, April 25, 2014 (UTC)

I've altered the article to correctly state that batarian and krogan over-cover grabs are the only ones capable of destroying heads. Xiaolruc (talk) 16:38, May 9, 2014 (UTC)

Penetrate cover?[]

I believe the detonations ignore terrain and cover, can anyone else confirm? May have to test more. Neo89515 (talk) 17:31, 22 September 2021 (UTC)

You mean hard cover? I'm pretty sure normal splash damage rules apply; abomb detonations are just hella splashy. Will keep in mind next time I get a chance to test, though. Elseweyr (talkstalk) 19:31, 23 September 2021 (UTC)
I played again after a long while and I was downed right through a wall, but my observations in Multiplayer games are always suspect because of the massive ping. So it might have just rounded the corner before blowing up and it just didn't show up on my end. Neo89515 (talk) 19:38, 23 September 2021 (UTC)
