What is up with the presidium in ME2? There's just one room with captain anderson in it. Am i missing something? 72.228.57.26 01:24, May 13, 2010 (UTC)

No you didn't, however I have heard rumors that BioWare might release a pack in the future that opens up the Presidium. However that is just a rumor. Lancer1289 01:26, May 13, 2010 (UTC)

But really, who has the time to frolic in parks and hang out with Consorts when there are colonies that need saving, and baddies who need killing? :) SpartHawg948 01:57, May 13, 2010 (UTC)

Large fountain image?[]

I think it might be nice to show off the high quality Legendary graphics by displaying the lake image large, front and center between paragraphs instead of following the usual "rule of thumb" and smooshing into a corner on the right. Any support? Neo89515 (talk) 19:06, 20 June 2021 (UTC)

I think that is a great idea. It could improve the shape of the layout as well. U Kataka (talk) 19:11, 20 June 2021 (UTC)
I don't see an issue with it personally as it's not a text-heavy page. Neo89515 (talk) 19:13, 20 June 2021 (UTC)
I do not see layout as an issue, but I think that such an edit could improve it. Maybe I am wrong (I would need to see it), but either way, I completely agree with your statement above. U Kataka (talk) 19:38, 20 June 2021 (UTC)
look kids i haven't got all day.
fandom uses at least four layouts and certain formatting compromises must be done for displaying elements acceptably on all of them. primary location pic - 400px. next ones alternating left-right depending on article structure, or default stick to right at 340px. appreciate the explanation (but nobody is above explaining things and everyone is busy) though I remain skeptical that these things are as rigid as you make them out to be. Would appreciate someone else with knowledge of these things weighing in. Anyway, most of us don't have access to that level of knowledge we can only go by what is clearly stated in the rules and if language like "rule of thumb" or "generally" is used, that implies these aren't hard and fast rules that allow for no deviation. Neo89515 (talk) 22:04, 20 June 2021 (UTC)

flexibility is implied for the many article types around (mission, location, planet, character, something not yet anticipated, etc) but once you're working within a type you stick by a narrow set of criteria to maintain uniformity. fandom has OG oasis, fandomdesktop (wide), fandomdesktop (thin), and mobile (preview modes can almost be considered since items rarely look as is on preview). making them all work together is a balancing act and a headache at times. T̴̴͕̲̞̳̖̼̱͒͛̎͒ͫ̃ͧeͩ̈̽̈҉͓̝̰̼̦̫̤̀͠m̫̪̪̯̻͎̫̅̇̓̇͌̚p̸̙̝̓̓͌ͨ͆ͣͥ̂̕o͒̽͐̽͏̞̬̻͕͔͕͚̰͍͠͞ṙ̢̞͚͈̹̰ͨ̓ͭ̈́̌ạ̢̧̪̹̺̺̣̹̲͂͆̏ͪͨ͒ͭř̹͈͜͠y̷͍̻̜̹̼̾̽̈́e̵̹̼̟̦͚͐̈́͌͘d͉̲̣̻͉̱͗̅ḭ̷̻̆͋̆̓̔͝t̨͍̦̫̗͂̅̍̋̆ͩ͝ộ̫̟̬̳̝̲̾ͫ̒̿ͮ̑̚rͯ̎ͨͭ̄̿̽͛҉̠̫̱̠̘̘̲́ͅ7̩̻ͤͩͨ͝͡8̜̣̙͇̻ͨ͛͛̆͒̆̽̒͐͜͡ ͥ̍̉̃̇ͥ̓ͨ͏̕҉̥̹͓̗̤̠̖̤ (talk) 22:21, 20 June 2021 (UTC)

I agree with TE now. I work on many languages on Wiktionary, and although it has very different rules and I hate to be a stickler for the status quo, category-based rigidity is very important. With Polish, I saw first-hand how quickly unbridled flexibility can create an utter mess—mainly people switching up bullet points, colons, ordering, and templates in the relational and derivational sections. With CJKV (mainly Mandarin, Cantonese, Middle/Old Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese), stricter guidelines and set templates have overall ended arguments over formatting and improved cross-platform experiences.
Also—after seeing all versions—I think the current layout is the best I can think of. While I still like the idea of showing readers more, there are limits to execution that make it unfeasible. U Kataka (talk) 23:44, 20 June 2021 (UTC)
So what it would take if someone really wanted to justify an exception is coming up with a version that looked acceptable on the four main current formats. Oasis will apparently disappear eventually, but who knows when, so for now those are the four. Cattlesquat (talk) 15:35, 21 June 2021 (UTC)
