Merge[]
Opposed: I use this Wiki primarily for the crunchy bits, such as class and talent description. I think it makes sense to have separate pages for Spectre Training and Spectres. They are related, but this can be noted by "see also" linkage. The weapon and talent descriptions on the Assault Rifle makes more sense since there is a name collision. This is not the case for Spectres and Spectre Training. --Hexdump 12:37, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
Opposed: There is a distinct difference between the two articles. Spectres refers to the backstory and should cover what a spectre is while giving examples current and past spectres, and the exact job description of such agents. On the other hand Spectre Training refers to an in game attribute. This second article should deal with the game mechanics and benefits of such an attribute. Crazy 21:11, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
Opposed: I have to agree with the above posts. Spectres deals with the branch of the Council; Spectre Training deals with the attribute. The pages should be seperate. Also, considering the merge was debated last December, I've taken the liberty of removing the merge tag. Rimmington 10:16, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
Revision in ME2 perspective[]
In ME2, the Spectre Training ability no longer exists and Unity becomes a power specific to Shepard, which exact characteristics are more depending on your possible upgrades (see Trauma Module and Emergency Shielding) than on the way you affect your squad points.
So I am not quite sure it makes sense trying to integrate here a description of the new Unity power and what can affect it. I do not think that it is either reasonable to keep Unity as being a redirection to this page...
I would rather propose to restore a specific Unity page, taking there the part of this page that describes the ME1 ability (with a link to Spectre Training, when reference is needed), for its ME1 part, and adding, for its ME2 part, a new section describing the Unity power as it now exists (describing how some upgrades can alter it).
Your thoughts? Celorilm 12:21, February 3, 2010 (UTC)
- Nobody objects for a month generally = green light. Your proposed format is the same e.g. if you look at ME2 Electronics skill and Overload anyway. Dch2404 11:36, March 10, 2010 (UTC)
