Not sure it rises to a trivia entry, but it's certainly cute that all the Prothean VI's have V names. Cattlesquat (talk) 21:07, April 23, 2013 (UTC)

Is there an in-game reference stating that Overlord/Archer was a VI? The fact the project involved interfacing a sapient being with a VI makes it seem more like an AI. TheUnknown285 (talk) 22:06, October 18, 2014 (UTC)

You disapprove of my add? Even Admiral Ahern says they are VIsAdmiralPedro1stFleet 17:19, July 5, 2010 (UTC)

Notable VIs are VIs that had a significent impact on the story at some point.
Avina (Citadel VI)
Mira (Provides Plot Information)
Vigil (Prothean VI)
Unnamed ExoGeni VI on Feros (Plot Information)
Hannibal on Luna (Notable as an Alliance Attempt at a Shackeled AI)
David (For the experiments that were being done)
They aren't notable becuase they are just holograms without any purpose apart from training, and that isn't notable. There are many VIs that aren't listed, nor do they need to be listed just because they are a VI. Lancer1289 17:26, July 5, 2010 (UTC)
I take your point. Where would I find all the lesser known VIs on this wiki?AdmiralPedro1stFleet 17:33, July 5, 2010 (UTC)
They are mentioned in their relevent places, walkthoughs mainly. Lancer1289 17:34, July 5, 2010 (UTC)
I disagree about the classification of Notable. Having some plot significance does not make something notable (unless the plot make it so), for example: the interactions with Mira on Noveria make her/it notable, but on the other hand the unnamed VI on Feros give some plot information and no further interaction is possible - it also doesn't seem to have any importance on its own (just employee information database). The distinction is a minor one, but it's still there.
Regarding David (or Overlord if you prefer): I wouldn't call it a VI seeing as the intelligence is neither virtual or artificial. The use of VI seem to be a result of not having a name for that kind of integration between human and machine. --silverstrike 01:30, January 31, 2011 (UTC)

Halo

Would it be significant to mention that the VIs in Mass Effect are akin to the Dumb AIs in Halo, and the AIs in Mass Effect are akin to the Smart AIs in Halo?

For instance Glyph=Deja

            EDI=Cortana

~ ~ ~ ~

That would be a subjective comparison, which isn't permitted in articles. That kind of trivia would require an official developer statement to the effect that VIs in Halo are a reference to or were inspired by Halo's Dumb AIs. -- Commdor (Talk) 00:59, March 14, 2012 (UTC)

Prothean VI's
