Urz is a somewhat docile Varren near the merchant in Tuchanka. After completing the Tuchanka: Killing Pyjaks assignment Shepard has the option of buying (for free) Pyjak Meat and giving it to Urz. After receiving the meat, Urz will follow Shepard around Tuchanka and can be entered into the Varren pit fight. Urz was a former champion pit fighter, and as such he has a high win probability and higher money bet (500 credits instead of 250). Should Urz lose a fight, he will be taken to the medical bay nearby, and unselectable for pit combat; however, some squad members will comment on him. He will become available again upon leaving and revisiting Tuchanka.

One of the audible conversations near the pit mentions that Urz's handler was exiled.

Urz has a very rare skin color. This may be evidence of different breeds of Varren.

Note: After betting against Urz and winning repeatedly, after about 10 times, this option will only win one credit. Completing one assignment or mission resets this. (PC version 1.01, PS3).

After this the player's chances will become so low that saving/reload will always result in a loss; betting on Urz or on one of the 250 options. Thus the player should simply bet against Urz after 15 straight wins. After betting against Urz and winning repeatedly, after about 10 times, this option will only win one credit.
